Discovery Lab
A decade of developing a museum—from a humbly repurposed recreation center to a brand new 40,000 square foot facility.







After years working with Discovery Lab to develop low-cost exhibitions in a temporary museum space, Council was given the opportunity to design the galleries of the museum’s permanent home in downtown Tulsa, OK. Working in collaboration with the Discovery Lab staff and board, KKT Architects, Science Museum of Minnesota, and Design I/O media producers, Council shepherded the community’s vision for an interactive family learning center into reality. Council led the conceptual design and provided detail design for seven distinct gallery spaces
